The origins of Barker Footwear can be traced back to 1933, when Ernest Barker traveled from Earls Barton, England to the shores of Cape Town, South Africa. He was accompanied by a small group of craftsmen skilled in the art of shoe making. There, in the shadow of Table Mountain, he established Barker Footwear, a name that would become synonymous with quality and craftsmanship in footwear manufacturing.
